Meet Your Lead Compounding Pharmacist
Hi, my name is Jason. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, School of Pharmacy in 2001 with a doctorate degree in pharmacy. My desire to be a pharmacist is rooted in my interest in chemistry and mechanics. I like to know how things “work” and pharmacy is a great blend of personal interaction and science.
I have practiced retail pharmacy since graduating and have been with the hometown pharmacy since 2003. Working in an independent pharmacy has afforded me the opportunity to get to know my patients and explore the many facets of patient needs. Over the years I have helped patients not only with drug information but medical equipment and braces, therapy decisions, ostomy products, long term care needs, medication organization, vaccination administration, health checks including blood pressure, cholesterol and bone density screening, finances, insurance billing, medication disposal, medicare consultation, travel needs, and most important to me, custom medication compounding. This experience allows me to help each patient differently, as an individual, and helps find solutions to problems.
In getting to know my patients they discover that I have many other interests beyond pharmacy. I enjoy anything involving my family and keep busy with running, biking, camping, canoeing and hunting. I like to keep busy, so you will often find me planning a race, trip or family event. Stop in and see me, fill a prescription or just tell me about your bucket list for life, either is fine with me.
